Office of First Selectman

The First Selectman is the chief elected official for the Town of Windham and is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the town. The office hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The telephone number is (860) 465-3006. The office is located in Town Hall, at 979 Main Street, Willimantic, CT 06226.

The First Selectman may also be reached via email through: mpaulhus@windhamct.com or during open office hours on the first Thursday of each month from 6:30pm-7:30pm.

Prior to being elected for his first term as First Selectman on November 6, 2001, Mike Paulhus served as the Executive Administrator for the Town of Windham for seven years. He has a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Blackburn College and spent two years in the United States Peace Corps serving in Tanzania. In addition to his Bachelor’s degree, he has earned a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Ohio University and a Master’s degree in Public Affairs from the University of Connecticut. Mike is a life-long resident of Windham and makes his home in Willimantic with his wife Natalka.
