Building & Housing Department

The Building Department issues permits for construction, repair, and remodeling of structures in the Town of Windham. Permits include:

• Building
• Electrical
• Heating
• Plumbing
• Sprinklers
• Demolition.

The Department keeps records of all permits by the address listing. Many Septic and Well locations are filed in this office and copies are available upon request.

The office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The telephone number is (860) 465-3042.

The Housing Code Enforcement Commission is serviced by the Building Department.

Fees and permits cannot be listed here because they are calculated on a case by case basis.
