Plan of Conservation and Development
September, 20 2007
To all Windham Residents:
For the past two years, the Windham Planning Commission has held numerous public meetings and hearings to develop a new Plan of Conservation and Development as required by Connecticut State Statutes. On August 23, 2007 the Planning Commission adopted a Plan of Conservation and Development for Windham that will encourage smart growth, develop and promote business, maintain the unique qualities of both our urban and rural areas, protect our resources and fiscally benefit our town.
Printed copies of the 2007 Plan of Conservation and Development are available for review at Town Hall, Willimantic Public Library, Windham Center Library and the South Windham Library. The full text is also available in Adobe PDF format for downloading through these links:
This 2007 Plan of Conservation and Development establishes a working blueprint for the future of Windham. The Planning Commission, and other Town boards and commissions, will work toward implementing this Plan.
Sincerely,
Paula Stahl, Chairwoman
