The Windham Heartsafe Committee was established in 2008 as endeavor to reduce the likelihood of sudden death by cardiac arrest in the Windham Community. The Fire Departments approached the Public Safety Committee of the then Board of Selectmen with a recommendation to seek HEARTSAFE Community Status. On Valentines Day, February 14, 2010, The Town of Windham became a HEARTSAFE community.
