Ad-Hoc No Freeze Hospitality Center Committee

The Town of Windham has an interest in addressing the need for emergency shelter for the homeless, and that both short-term  and long-term solutions are needed. Therefore, the Town of Windham Board of Selectmen support the formation of an Ad-Hoc No Freeze Hospitality Center Committee to study the issue and develop a plan of action to address the needs of the homeless. The Committee shall report its plans to the Board of Selectmen for appropriate action and support. The Committee shall make a report on short-term solutions no later than May 1st, 2008, and long-term options no later than October 1st, 2008. The Committee shall remain in effect through the implementation of the recommended solutions.
The Committee shall consist of up to 5 members of the Board of Selectmen; up to 2 members of the Board of Finance; a representative of the No Freeze Hospitality Center board or staff; and up to three community representatives.
