Located in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut, the Town of Windham embraces the historic mill city of Willimantic and the traditional New England villages of North Windham, Windham Center, and South Windham. A great combination of rural living and small city life. Windham boasts the college campus of Eastern CT State University, Windham Hospital, ACT the Arts at the Capitol Theater and the Charles H. Barrows STEM Academy which is the school for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Willimantic is the home to the 3rd Thursday Street Fests, the Victorian Neighborhood Association, The Garden on the Bridge, The Mills Art's Space and the Windham Theatre Guild. And who can forget our signature event, the annual 4th of July Boom Box Parade!
Windham also has a local newspaper The Chronicle, a local Radio station WILI AM and Hit Music 98 FM, and our share of restaurants and night spots.
